我們以一年一度的聖經之旅展開了第二季度的事工。今年，我們沿著使徒保羅第二次宣教旅程的路線，走訪希臘各地。這是吹號者事工（Trumpeter Ministries）第五次與 Grace Tours 合作，而這份夥伴關係是我們十分珍惜的。我們的合作始於 2022 年 3 月，當時吹號者事工組織了 Grace Tours 在新冠疫情後首個前往土耳其（Türkiye）的旅行團。

今年共有 40 位團員參加，分別來自美國各地，以及台灣和香港。雖然我們來自世界不同的地方，卻因著對耶穌基督共同的信仰，以及同樣渴望追隨保羅第二次宣教旅程腳蹤的心志，很快就在主裡合而為一。

許多團員分享了他們寶貴的生命見證，讓我深受鼓舞；而得知許多人是在經過長時間的禱告與尋求神的帶領之後才決定參加這次旅程，更令我深感感恩與欣慰。

We kicked off the second quarter with our annual Bible tour. This year, we followed the route of Paul’s second missionary journey through Greece. This marked the fifth time Trumpeter Ministries has partnered with Grace Tours. Our relationship with Grace Tours is one which we deeply treasure. Our partnership began in March 2022, when Trumpeter Ministries organized the first Grace Tours group to visit Türkiye after the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, 40 participants joined us from across the United States, as well as from Taiwan and Hong Kong. Although we came from different parts of the world, we were immediately united by our shared faith in Jesus Christ and our common desire to walk in the footsteps of Paul on his second missionary journey. I was greatly encouraged by the personal testimonies shared by many of the participants and blessed to learn that many had joined this trip after a long season of prayer and seeking God’s guidance.

連續六週的吹號之旅 A Six-Week Trumpeter Ministries Journey (4/17-5/24)

從四月中旬到五月底，我們連續六個週末奔走各地服事。雖然行程十分緊湊、身體也相當疲憊，但我們感謝神賜下每一個機會，讓我們能夠動員教會一起投入搶救下一代的使命。無論我們走到哪裡，都看到同樣的問題：下一代正在離開教會。搶救下一代實在非常重要且刻不容緩的地步。如果我們今天不採取行動，明天可能就太遲了。在每一場特會中，我們分享五至七堂信息，探討世界觀、家庭與教育等關鍵議題。我們感謝神，每一場聚會都得到熱烈的回應。這顯明眾教會不僅渴望了解當今家庭與年輕世代所面臨的挑戰，更迫切需要符合聖經真理、切實可行的解決方案。靠著神的恩典，「吹號者事工」願意站在破口之中，承擔「重修城牆」的使命，裝備教會與家庭，將信仰忠心地傳承給下一代。

From mid-April through the end of May, we were on the road for six consecutive weekends. Although the schedule was exhausting, we were grateful for every opportunity to mobilize the entire church to save our next generation. Everywhere we go, we see the same problem of the next generation leaving the church. It is more critical and more urgent than ever to save the next generation before it is too late. Each weekend, we shared five to seven sessions addressing critical topics related to the biblical worldview, family, and education. We thank God for a strong response at every meeting. There is a great need not only to identify the problems but also to provide the solutions. By the grace of God, Trumpeter Ministries stands in the gap to “rebuild the broken wall.”

我從未想過，甚至從未夢想過，我們的事工竟會跨越一萬英里的海洋，來到澳洲。然而，「神的意念高過我們的意念，祂的道路高過我們的道路。」5月1日至5月3日我受邀擔任「澳洲基督教華人衛理公會第十五屆年會成婦團聯合退修會」的講員。這個退修會每兩年舉辦一次，在澳洲不同城市輪流舉行，參加者來自全澳數十間教會。今年的聚會在澳洲東南沿海城市——墨爾本Melbourne舉行。我總共花了約三十個小時才抵達，打破了我個人飛行時間的紀錄。

這次退修會的主題是「吹響號角，奪回世代」（Blow the Trumpet, Reclaim the Generation）。我們不僅在退修會中分享這個信息，也有機會在當地教會以及宗派牧者聚會中傳講同樣的異象。與會者的回應遠遠超過我們的預期。神實在為我們成就了又新又大的事，開啟了許多我們未曾想到的機會。

I had never dreamed or even thought that our ministries would go 10,000 miles across the ocean to Australia. But God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts, His ways are higher than our ways. On May 1 to May 3, I was invited to be the speaker for “Chinese Methodist Church in Australia AC Adult & Women Fellowships 15^th Combined Retreat”. The retreat is held every two years in different cities, with participants coming from dozens of churches throughout Australia. This year the retreat was held in the southeastern coastal city of Melbourne.

The theme of the retreat was “Blow the Trumpet, Reclaim the Generation.” Besides having the privilege of sharing this message at the retreat, I also had the opportunity to minister at a local church and to speak to pastors from the Methodist denomination. The response was far beyond our expectation. God truly did a new and marvelous work among us, opening doors that we never could have imagined.

在真道靈糧堂，除了家庭營之外，我們還有機會舉辦一個全新的單身工作坊。這是一個非常美好的經歷。透過這次聚會，我們深深感受到單身群體有很大的需要，也因著參與者的熱烈回應而受到鼓舞。我們期待未來有更多機會服事和裝備單身弟兄姊妹，幫助他們在信仰與人生的道路上成長。

At the Bread of Life Christian Church in Chino, CA, in addition to speaking at the Family Camp, we had the opportunity to host a new workshop for singles. It was a wonderful experience. We quickly realized that there is a great need to minister to singles, and we were encouraged by the positive response from those who attended. We look forward to more opportunities to serve and to equip singles in the future.

在陣亡將士紀念日（Memorial Day）週末，我有幸擔任佛州華人夏令退修會的英文講員。能夠服事英文堂的青少年和成人，對我而言是一項極大的榮幸。會後許多人索取PPT，希望能夠進一步學習和研究相關內容。此外，我也在中文部帶領了一場題為「教會如何回應世俗主義的風暴」的專題工作坊。令我感到驚訝的是，會場座無虛席，與會者的反應十分熱烈。許多人對我們的世界觀課程表現出濃厚的興趣，並渴望進一步學習如何以聖經世界觀來裝備下一代。

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I had the privilege of serving as the English speaker for the Florida Combined Retreat. It was a great honor to minister to English-speaking youth and adults. I was encouraged to see a strong interest in the messages, and many participants requested copies of the PowerPoint presentations for further study.

I also led a workshop for the Chinese congregation on the topic, “How the Church Should Respond to the Storm of Secularism.” To my surprise, the room was filled to capacity, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees expressed a strong interest in our worldview curriculum and a desire to learn more about equipping the next generation with a biblical worldview.

華人恩澤教會退修會 Abundant Grace Chinese Church Retreat

6月12日至14日，我們受邀前往內華達州美麗的太浩湖，擔任華人恩澤教會退修會退修會講員。退修會的主題是「入世而不屬世: 成為當代基督門徒」。我們很享受美麗的退修會場地和與弟兄姊妹的團契交流。我們原定於週日晚上從沙加緬度（Sacramento)飛回紐約的航班，由於紐約天氣惡劣，從晚上11:30延誤到週一凌晨2:30。凌晨2點左右，由於飛行員加班且沒有替補，航班再次延誤到週一下午3:45。我們只好在機場「小憩」了一會兒。早上6:30，我們非常感謝孟牧師來接我們去他家休息。午餐後，他又送我們回機場。感謝神，過去五年我們經歷了無數次飛行，卻只遇到過兩次延誤，但即便如此，神也為我們預備了幫助。靠著神的恩典，我們將繼續「與神飛行」！

On June 12-14, I was invited to be the retreat speaker for the Abundant Grace Chinese Church at beautiful Lake Tahoe in NV. The retreat theme was “In the world but not of the world: Be a Contemporary Christian”. We enjoyed the beautiful retreat site and times of fellowship with brothers and sisters. Our flight from Sacramento back to New York City, originally scheduled to depart on Sunday night at 11:30 pm, was delayed to 2:30 am on Monday due to inclement weather in New York. Around 2:45 am, it was further delayed to 3:45 pm Monday afternoon because the pilot and flight crew had surpassed their legal duty time limits and no replacements could be found. We ended up “taking a nap” at the airport. We are so appreciative that, at 6:30 am, Pastor Meng very kindly returned to pick us up, driving us once again to his home to get much needed rest. After lunch, he drove us back to the airport. Thank God that out of so many fights in the past five years we only encountered two delays but, even then, God provided help for us. By God’s grace we will continue to “fly with God”!

Praise the Lord for continuing to open doors for us to serve churches in New York and New Jersey, not only through Sunday worship services but also through workshops.

在家教育大會 Homeschool Convention

今年我們非常榮幸地邀請到劉大偉弟兄擔任主講講員。劉弟兄的分享大大地激勵和鼓舞了那些在藝術方面有天賦並渴望用這些天賦服事上帝的弟兄姐妹。此外，我們還邀請了四位青少年分享如何在四個不同的領域成為變革的推動者。我們需要培養孩子擁有聖經世界觀，並運用這種世界觀去影響世界，而家庭教育是實現這一目標的最佳途徑。

This year we were very honored to have brother Davy Liu as our keynote speaker. Brother Davy’s talk greatly inspired and encouraged those who are gifted in the arts and who want to use their gifts to serve God. We also had four young people share about how to be a change agent in four different areas. We need to train our children to have a biblical worldview and furthermore to apply that worldview to impact the world. Biblically-based homeschooling is the best tool we can use to achieve that goal.

今年，我們迎來了第一位高中畢業生Jana，她即將進入派崔克亨利學院Patrick Henry College。由於新冠疫情，Jana 一家開始了家庭教育。我們很榮幸能透過「吹號者事工」（Trumpeter Ministries）幫助許多像Jana這樣的家庭。事實上，無論我們走到哪裡，甚至在澳大利亞，都會遇到許多類似的家庭。上帝藉著新冠疫情喚醒了許多家庭，讓他們重新思考教育的意義。

This year we celebrated with Jana, the first student from our co-op to graduate from high school; she will be attending Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, VA. Jana’s family started homeschool during the time of the COVID pandemic, when they heard about Trumpeter Ministries. We are so honored to be an instrument for many families like Jana’s. Actually, everywhere we go, we encounter similar families even in Australia. God has used COVID to wake up many families to think more deeply about their children’s education.

「倫理與宗教自由委員會」Ethics and Religious Freedom Committee of CCWI

我很榮幸成為紐約基督教華人同工會(CCWI )「倫理與宗教自由委員會」的一員。我們舉辦許多講座，向教會介紹美國的歷史和制度。 6月18日，我們拜訪了兩位州議員，向他們提出教會關心的問題，並為他們的工作禱告。

I am humbled to serve on the Ethics and Religious Freedom Committee of CCWI. As part of this ministry, we have hosted workshops to educate churches about America’s history and system of government. On June 18, we visited two members of Congress to share the concerns of the church, to discuss issues affecting our communities, and to pray for the congressmen as they carry out their very important work.

世界觀教材 Worldview Curriculum

當前迫切需要裝備基督徒父母，使他們建立合乎聖經的世界觀，並能有效地教導、門訓自己的兒女。吹號者事工目前已出版兩套中文教材，可供教會主日學、小組及團契使用。

這個課程幫助我們系統地學習和了解基督徒、教會、社會,與世界的關係,以及在各個層面及 7 個領域中當如何行動;讓我們看到聖經世界觀對文化的影響有多大和多深遠;喚醒沉睡的基督徒和教會,使我們起來,回應這吹響的號角,在教會、家庭、社會中集結起來,裝備自己,也彼此裝備,為神爭戰,創造天國新文化,奪回失地,得著下一代,使萬膝跪拜,萬口頌揚耶穌基督是主!為神所託付的大使命和文化使命盡一己之力,喜樂迎接主的再來！

To celebrate the 250th Anniversary of United States, we will have a seven-week book reading club using The American Story by David Barton and Timothy Barton.
