16 路得說：「不要勸我離開你，轉去不跟隨你。你往哪裏去，我也往哪裏去；你在哪裏住，我也在哪裏住；你的百姓就是我的百姓；你的 神就是我的 神。…」
路得記 Ruth 1:16
16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
路得跟隨拿俄米回到伯利恆。 作為摩押人，她有足夠的理由留在自己的土地和人民身邊，但她決定跟隨婆婆前往伯利恆。 她的決定不僅僅是跟從哪個人，而是跟從哪個神：是摩押的神，還是耶和華以色列的神。 路得並沒有單單地決定在名義上追隨她婆婆的上帝； 她決定讓耶和華上帝成為她生命中的上帝。
路得的決定開啟了信仰之旅。 最終她遇到了一個名叫波阿斯的人，並成為以色列王大衛的曾祖母！ 我們今天所做的決定不僅會影響我們今天的生活，也會影響我們未來的子孫後代。
我們做出的每一個決定都反映了我們的世界觀。 每一個選擇，每一個行動，要麼表達錯誤的世界觀，從而導致世界混亂和破碎，要麼表達上帝的真理，幫助建立一個反映祂創造秩序的世界。

Ruth followed Naomi to return to Bethlehem. As a Moabite she had more than enough reason to remain with her own land and people, but she decided to follow her mother-in-law to Bethlehem. Her decision was not just which person to follow but moreover was which God to follow: the god of Moab or the LORD God of Israel. And Ruth did not simply decide to follow her mother-in-law’s God in name; she decided to make the LORD God the God of her very life.
Ruths’ decision kicked off a Journey of Faith. Eventually she met a man named Boaz and would become the great-grandmother of David, King of Israel! The decisions we make today not only affect our lives today but also will affect our descendants in the future.
Every decision we make reflects our worldview. Every choice, every action, either expresses a false worldview and thus contributes to a disordered and broken world, or expresses God’s truth and helps build a world that reflects his created order.

Ruth is a “Cinderella of faith” to testify to us that God “rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
Prayer: Dear God, please help us to determine to follow you everyday and to make You our God even if we are in a seemingly hopeless situation. With God, all things are possible! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
