Mission “Impossible”

耶利米 1:耶和華對我說:「不要說『我年輕』,因為我差遣你到誰那裏去,你都要去;

Jeremiah 1:7 But the Lord said to me,“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”

During Judah’s darkest hours, God called a young man named Jeremiah to carry out an impossible mission: “to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.” It was a daunting task because Jeremiah was going into a hostile environment to speak the judgment of God to the nations. It must have been quite an intimidating shock to Jeremiah to receive this call for he was only a youth and do not know how to speak. (v. 6) The even bigger challenge is that the message for Jeremiah to speak was to “against the whole land of Judah, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the people of the land ” and “they will fight against Jeremiah” (vv. 18-19) But God never sends people out and then leaves them alone. God promised Jeremiah, “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you.” Do we dare to take on this impossible mission? We can take on this Mission Impossible because God is God of the impossible!
