每四年一次的美國總統選舉不僅標誌著美國政治的新篇章，也標誌著世界政治的新篇章。知道全世界都在密切關注美國的總統選舉，使我感到自豪又謙虛。
今年的選舉結果確實讓許多人都大吃一驚。川普總統克服重重困難再次贏得選舉，成為美國第 47 任總統。不管你喜不喜歡他，他的決心絕對可以作為永不放棄的教科書案例。無論你投票給誰，我們都可以感到自豪，在美國，我們仍然可以透過我們的選舉制度實現政治權力的和平轉移。
正如我過去所發表的2024搶救下一代從投票開始，無論選舉結果如何，教會在我們社會的各個領域仍然有很多工作要做- 特別是教育。
首先，雖然我對結果感謝神，但這並不意味著教會現在可以放鬆並恢復“正常”，繼續過我們喜歡的方式生活。相反，我們需要抓住機會積極地將聖經的世界觀帶入我們的文化。
其次，我們應該“治癒”那些與我們持不同觀點的人，特別是我們的下一代。教會和老一輩（父母和祖父母）需要更加重視在我們自己的生活中始終如一地實踐聖經的世界觀。我們需要不僅在言語上，更要在行動上向我們的孩子傳達聖經的世界觀。事實上，我們今天所看到的社會問題，在許多方面都是過去幾代人的弱點和失敗的反映。我們需要把我們的心轉向我們的孩子，讓祝福代替咒詛。(瑪拉基書 4:6)
最後，川普總統的「敗部復活」給我們帶來鼓勵和激舞，讓我們堅定信念，即使整個世界反對，我們仍勇敢奮戰。在我大學一年級時，一門數學課程不及格導致我需要參加暑期學校重新修讀該課程。當我以A的成績完成課程時，我媽媽告訴我，我是「敗部復活」！ 耶穌才是真正的「敗部復活」：耶穌為我們的罪死在十字架上，起初他的使命似乎「失敗」了，但第三天，他從死裡復活了！
願復活的大能使我們每個人都「敗部復活」，不僅給我們希望，也給我們新的生命來為他而活！政治無法拯救靈魂，但一個更合乎聖經世界觀的政府可以為社會創造更好的環境，不但使我們能敬虔度日，更能使每個人經歷神的普遍恩典。讓我們為川普總統和其他在上掌權的禱告(提前2:1-2)，更把握契機，為主贏回下一代！
Every four years, the Presidential election in America marks a new chapter not only for America’s politics but also for the world’s. Americans can be both proud and humble knowing that entire world pays close attention to the Presidential election in our land.
This year’s election results definitely caught everyone by surprise. Against great odds, President Trump won the election to become our nation’s 47th President. Regardless of whether you like him or not, Trump’s determination surely serves as a textbook case for never giving up. And no matter who you voted for, we can all be proud that in American we still can hold a peaceful transfer of political power through our electoral system.
As I have posted in the past, no matter what the outcome of the election was to be, the church still has much work to do in all areas of our society – especially in education.
First, while I am thankful for the outcome, this does not mean that the church can now relax and go back to “normal”, living as we like. Instead we need to take the opportunity to actively carry the blessings of the biblical worldview to our culture.
Second, we should bring healing to those who hold different views from us, especially to those of our next generation. The church and older generations (parents and grandparents) need to place greater importance upon living out the biblical worldview consistently in our own lives. We need to communicate the biblical worldview to our children not only in word by also in deed. Actually, in many ways what we see today in society is a reflection of the weaknesses and failures of past generations. We need to turn our hearts toward our children and let blessings replace the curse. (Malachi 4:6)
Finally, the comeback of President Trump should give us encouragement and inspiration to hold firmly to our convictions, even if the whole world is against us. In my freshman year of college, a failed math course resulted in my needing to attend summer school to retake the the course. When I completed the course with an A, my mother told me that I was “a comeback kid” ! Jesus is the real “comeback kid”: Jesus died on the cross for our sins, at first seeming to “fail” in his mission, but on the third day, He rose from the dead!
May the power of the resurrection make us each “a comeback kid” , not only giving us hope but also giving us a new life to live for Him! Politics cannot save souls, but a government that is more in line with the biblical worldview can create a better environment for society, not only allowing people to live more godly lives, but also enabling them to experience God’s common grace. Let us pray for President Trump and for those who are in high positions (1 Timothy 2:1-2), and let us seize the opportunity to win back the next generation for the Lord!
