1)Five in a Row(FIAR)

Charlotte Mason

Here are some resources that can be referenced to find edifying and well-written books for our children to read:

1)Five in a Row (FIAR)

This is actually a “unit study” type of curriculum which is an interesting way for children to learn, especially in the younger grades.

You can click on the Booklists to see which books they use, even if you don’t follow the details of their curriculum.

2)Charlotte Mason

This is another Christian curriculum which homeschoolers can refer to:

3)Search on “Classical Christian School Book Lists”

You may search the internet for “Classical Christian School Book Lists” to find wholesome reading material for children. Not every school labeled “Christian School” in America is truly following the Bible, but overall the “Classical Christian” schools are trustworthy.

4)An extensive list

This link is a bit overwhelming, but it does have a good list by grade:

Notes:

It is practical to buy books which are “Used, Like New” from sites such as Amazon.

We encourage churches or homeschool co-ops to start a library of excellent books.
