[今日經文 Today’s Reading: 撒迦利亞書 Zechariah 1-4]
6 他回答我說：「這是耶和華指示所羅巴伯的話。萬軍之耶和華說：不是倚靠勢力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的靈方能成事。 7 大山哪，你算甚麼呢？在所羅巴伯面前，你必夷為平地。他安放頂上的那塊石頭，人就歡呼：『願恩惠、恩惠歸與這殿！』」
撒迦利亞書 Zechariah 4:6-7
6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. 7 Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
當所羅巴伯回到耶路撒冷時，他面臨著一項艱鉅的任務，即從廢墟中重建聖殿，而且幫助的人很少。許多人決定留在巴比倫繼續他們相對舒適的生活。但對於那些返回的人來說，他們面臨著看似不可能完成的任務。耶和華通過撒迦利亞鼓勵所羅巴伯說：“不是倚靠勢力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的靈方能成事。……大山哪，你算甚麼呢？在所羅巴伯面前，你必夷為平地。”
2022年 6 月份，我因前列腺出血和大動脈阻塞住院 11 天。晚上，我躺在醫院的病床上，因為手臂上掛著靜脈輸液管，我無法動彈。在那最黑暗的時刻，神向我啟示了吹號者事工就像《愚公移山》中的愚公。
這個中國古代寓言的故事情節是有兩座大山擋住了通往村莊的道路。旅行者不得不繞過山才能到達另一邊。愚公決定用手把石頭一點一點地鏟掉，以移除大山。他對那些嘲諷他的人說，他死後，他的後代將繼續這項任務，並且一定會完成。他的決心和行動深深觸動了眾神，他們決定為他移山。任務確實完成了！
今天，許多“山”挑戰我們的信仰，尤其是我們孩子的信仰，但遺憾的是，許多基督教組織和教會選擇繞過這些山。教育是最重要的山和戰場，因為它是“我們孩子的心靈和思想的戰場”。正如查克科爾森所說：
教育是這個世界燃燒屬靈戰火的競技場，我們應該把基督教世界觀帶入此戰場：打倒敵對者的力量，並為基督奪回整個心智和靈魂的領土.
現在是基督徒起來移動阻礙上帝國度的大山的時候了。靠著神的靈，我們可以大聲宣告“大山哪，你算甚麼呢？你必夷為平地！”
禱告：天父，我們祈求你在這黑暗的時刻興起更多的“愚公”，靠著神的靈，敢於對抗，敢於移山，搶救下一代！
When Zerubbabel returned to Jerusalem, he was facing a BIG task to rebuild the temple from its ruins and with very few people to help. Many decided to stay in Babylon to continue their relatively comfortable life. But for those who returned, they were faced with what seemed to be mission impossible. The LORD spoke through Zechariah to encourage Zerubbabel: ” Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit…What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.”
2023 during the month of June, I was hospitalized for 11 days due to bleeding in the prostate and blockage in a major artery. At night I would lay in the hospital bed unable to move due to IV tubes attached to my arms. In those darkest moments, God revealed to me that Trumpeter Ministries was like Yugong in “Yugong Moves Mountains”.
The storyline of this ancient Chinese fable was that there were two huge mountains blocking the path to the village. Travelers had to go around the mountains to get to the other side. Yugong decided to get rid of the mountains by shoveling the rocks away by hand, little by little. He said to those who taunted him that, after his departure from the earth, his descendants would continue the task and it would surely be accomplished. His determination and actions touched the gods so much that they decided to move the mountains for him. The task was indeed accomplished!
Today many “mountains” challenge our faith and especially that of our children, yet sadly many Christian organizations and churches choose the route to bypass these mountains. Education is the most important mountain and battlefield because it is “the battlefield for the hearts and minds of our kids”. As Chuck Colson said:
Education is a major area in the spiritual battle raging in the world, a battlefield where we should be bringing a Christian worldview to bear: pushing back the power of the adversary and claiming for Christ the entire territory of the mind and spirit.
It is about time for Christians to rise up to move the mountains hindering God’s Kingdom. By the Spirit of God, we can shout “What are you, mighty mountain? You will become level ground!”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we pray that You will raise up more “Yugongs” in this time of darkness who, by the Spirit of God, will dare to confront and to move the mountains, to save the next generation!
