7 耶和華對我說：「不要說『我年輕』，因為我差遣你到誰那裏去，你都要去；
耶利米 Jeremiah 1:7
我吩咐你說甚麼話，你都要說。8 你不要怕他們，因為我與你同在，要拯救你。
這是耶和華說的。」
7 But the Lord said to me,“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”
在猶大國最黑暗的時候，上帝呼召一個叫耶利米的年輕人來完成一個不可能的任務：“我要差遣你到誰那裏去，你都要去；我吩咐你說甚麼話，你都要說。” 這是一項艱鉅的任務，因為耶利米正處於一個敵對的環境中，向各民族說上帝的審判。 接到這個任務對耶利米來說一定是非常嚇人的震撼，因為他還只是個年輕人，並不知怎樣說。 （第6節）更大的挑戰是耶利米要說話的信息是“對抗全地和猶大的君王、官長、祭司，並這地的百姓。 “並且“他們要攻擊耶利米”（18-19 節）但上帝決不派人出去，然後讓他們獨自一人承擔。 上帝應許耶利米說：“不要怕他們，因為我與你同在，要拯救你。”
今天我們首先需要更多的耶利米向美國的教會說話。 我們在貨幣上看到“我們信靠上帝”的字樣，但我們卻在學校、媒體、娛樂和政府政策中玷污了上帝的名字。 事實上，美國已經改變了她的“神”（耶利米書 2:11），教會不能再保持沉默。
我們敢於承擔這“不可能”的使命嗎？ 我們是可以承擔這不可能的使命，因為上帝不是不可能的上帝, 在祂凡事都能！
禱告：親愛的上帝，願你在這樣的時刻激動更多的耶利米為祢向祢的教會和列國說話！
During Judah’s darkest hours, God called a young man named Jeremiah to carry out an impossible mission: “to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.” It was a daunting task because Jeremiah was going into a hostile environment to speak the judgment of God to the nations. It must have been quite an intimidating shock to Jeremiah to receive this call for he was only a youth and do not know how to speak. (v. 6) The even bigger challenge is that the message for Jeremiah to speak was to “against the whole land of Judah, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the people of the land ” and “they will fight against Jeremiah” (vv. 18-19) But God never sends people out and then leaves them alone. God promised Jeremiah, “Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you.”
Today we first need more Jeremiahs to speak to American churches. We see the words “In God we trust” on our currency, yet we defile God’s name in our schools, in the media, in entertainment, and in our government policies. Indeed America has changed her “God” (Jere. 2:11) and churches can no longer be silent.
Do we dare to take on this “impossible” mission? We can take on this Mission Impossible because God is not the God of impossible, in Him all things are possible!
Prayer: Dear God, may you stir up more Jeremiahs to speak for You to Your churches and nations at such time like this!
