Saving the Next Generation Starts with Voting

Recently I have been sharing in many interviews about the importance of voting. I have also shared in my latest daily devotions.

I am writing today to encourage Christians one more time: First, let us go out to vote and let us moreover vote in accordance with the Bible’s teachings, especially for the sake of our next generation. We vote out of love: love for our God, and love for others, especially for our next generation. Voting is a proclamation, to “show our cards”. This is how we can be salt and light in the world.

Second, we must continue to work fervently for the Kingdom of God. Voting is just a beginning and the minimum first step. No matter the outcome of the election, there is much work to be done in all areas of our culture. I welcome you to join the Biblical Worldview class this coming Jan. to Mar. offered by Trumpeter Ministries in conjunction with the CCHC School of Missions.

Third, we must love our “enemies”, as well as any, including our next generation, who hold different views from us. In many respects actually what we see in our society today has resulted from the failures of the past generations. Let us start to turn our hearts toward our children, lest the land be struck with utter destruction. (Malachi 4:6)

James E. White says in his book “Serious Times”:

“My friend,” John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson toward the end of both of their lives, “you and I have lived in serious times.”  Indeed they had… [and they] led serious lives. …Serious times met with serious lives…[T]his isn’t about fame or prestige. It’s about wanting my life to count where it is needed most. There is a great movement of God that has been set loose in this world, and I want to be on the front lines. And I have felt this way for a long time.

Yes, we, too, live in serious times; therefore, let us live serious lives now to participate in the great movement of God – through saving the next generation to revive every generation. This starts with voting!
