Psalm 90:10 The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away. 11 Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?12 So teach us to number our days  that we may get a heart of wisdom.

With the invention of the calculator and computers, human beings have been weakening in their ability to count and to perform operations with numbers. As secularism grows, we also have been losing the ability to count our days. What is the meaning of our lives on earth in their short span of 70 or 80 years? What is the purpose of all of our hard work? If our lives were to be squeezed into a 24-hour clock, what time in your life clock would you be in now? “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:17) Whether it be COVID-19, racial tensions, national and local elections, or anything else, all will pass away soon. What will last forever? Compared to eternity, our lives on earth are like but a moment in time. May God teach us to “number our days” and to know that we have less than “24 hours” to prepare for eternity. Understanding this will bring us true wisdom!
