Job 12:10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. .. 13 “With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding. ..14:⁵ Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass.

In the midst of our suffering we tend to focus on our suffering – why we are suffering (the reason) and how to remove the suffering (the cure). This is what the whole world is doing. But C.S Lewis said, “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” God is shouting to the world that “the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind” is in His hands, not in our hands, and “with God are wisdom and might”. Furthermore, “[our] days are determined and the number of [our] month[s]” is with God; God has appointed the boundary of our lives which we cannot pass (Job 14:5). How Christians face pain will also be a megaphone to a world that does not want to listen. Do we gloat or complain or “mourn with those who mourn”?  May we also learn from Job and become a megaphone (not silencer) for God  during this pandemic, because “we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men.” (1 Corinthians 4:9)!

在遭受苦難的過程中，我們傾向於專注於遭受的痛苦-為什麼我們遭受痛苦（原因）以及如何消除痛苦（處方）。 事實上這就是全世界正在做的事情。 但是路易斯說：“上帝在我們的歡樂中對我們耳語，在我們的良知中說話，但在我們的痛苦中喊叫：這是祂的擴音器，去喚醒一個聾啞的世界。” 上帝正在向世界大喊：“凡動物的生命和人類的氣息都在他手中”，而不是掌握在我們手中，“在　神有智慧和能力，他有謀略和知識”。 此外，“[我們的]的日子限定，[我們的]的月數在於[上帝]，[上帝]劃定[我們的]的界限，[我們的]不能越過“（約伯記14：5）。 基督徒如何面對痛苦也將成為一個不想听世界的擴音器。 我們是幸災樂禍或是抱怨或“與哀哭的同哀哭”？願我們也向約伯學習，並在大流行期間成為上帝的擴音器而不是滅音器，因為“我們成了一臺戲，給世界、天使和眾人觀看。” （哥林多前書4：9）！
