Job 5:17 “Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves;  therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.18 For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.

No one like to be disciplined, but when when no one wants to discipline us it means  either we are so rebellious that we are forsaken, or no one care about us. This is why we are blessed when we are disciplined by God, because He cares for us and He wants us to be better: “therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.” Instead of rejecting discipline, we need to seek the opportunity to open up our wounds and to let God’s hands bind us and heal us. “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. ” (Psalm 51:17)
