Summer 2012, the first time I stepped on Inner Mongolia, immediately I was in awe the vast green pasture. People told me there had been no rain for long time but it just rained few days ago that’s why the pasture is so greenish. Evening came I lifted up my head and was shocked by the starry sky. I finally can understand why David says in Psalm 8:3-4
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Too often we were blinded by the world, we were anxious by many things, so we lost our joy, direction and even motivation. But God has provided a “Starry Green Pasture” for us: There we see the grace and glory of God, there we bow down worship God, there we regain our strength.
One afternoon when I was playing guitar facing the green pasture, I was moved to record this Starry Green Pasture in song. I will come back often to this “Starry Green Pasture” because there I encounter God. Do you also have your “Starry Green Pasture”?
星空草原 The Starry Pasture
In this vast green pasture, I can see your grace
In this starry sky, I can see your glory (x2)
哦 聖靈來 澆灌這地
Come Holy Spirit, Pour out in this land
哦 聖靈來 復興這地
Come Holy Spirit, Revive this land (x2)
In this vast green pasture, I sing to you with my soul
In this starry sky, I worship you with all my heart (x2)
May Your Kingdom come down, May Your Will be done
